On March 3, the delegation led by Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, met with Dincer Geafer, Deputy State Secretary of Romania for Interethnic Relations under the State Secretariat for Religious Affairs.
The Deputy State Secretary provided detailed information on the activities of national and religious minorities in Romania and the measures implemented in this area. He also highlighted Azerbaijan’s achievements in managing ethnic and cultural diversity within society, positively assessing the absence of any ethnic, religious, or racial conflicts in the country.
Emphasizing that traditions of tolerance are being further developed in Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, Chairman Ramin Mammadov provided an overview of the country’s ethnic and religious diversity. R.Mammadov noted that the peaceful coexistence of different confessions and ethnic groups is a clear indicator of Azerbaijan’s successful model of state–religion relations. Chairman of the State Committee also highlighted Azerbaijan’s global initiatives aimed at deepening dialogue among cultures and religions.
The meeting concluded with discussions on issues related to the further development of bilateral cooperation.
