On September 8, Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, met with Ronen Krausz, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Azerbaijan.
The meeting underscored the importance of the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Israel focusing on prospects for cooperation, particularly in the areas of religious and intercultural dialogue. Chairman Mammadov congratulated Ambassador Krausz on his new diplomatic appointment and wished him success. He emphasized that under President Ilham Aliyev’s leadership, Azerbaijan implements policies based on multicultural values and religious tolerance, ensuring that communities of different faiths operate in an atmosphere of peace and mutual respect.
Ambassador Krausz expressed satisfaction with the attention and care given to the Jewish community in Azerbaijan and praised the country’s tolerant religious environment, highlighting the importance of exchanging experience in this area. Other matters of mutual interest were also discussed, and opportunities for cooperation were explored.
