Pursuant to the schedule for citizen receptions organized by the heads of central executive authorities and other administrative bodies in cities and districts, Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, held a reception for citizens in the city of Sumgait on February 5.

Prior to the reception, the monument to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, located in the city center, was visited, and his memory was honored with due respect.

During the reception, citizens from Sumgait and the Absheron and Khizi districts submitted appeals concerning the provision of libraries in places of worship under the “Library in Every Mosque” project, the activities of religious communities, the expansion of religious educational work, and other relevant matters.

The reception, attended by the heads of the relevant structural divisions of the State Committee, included listening to citizens’ proposals and concerns. Appropriate instructions were issued to ensure that the necessary measures are implemented in response.
