The delegation led by Gunduz Ismayilov, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, paid an official visit to the Republic of Türkiye from December 25 to 27.

During the visit, meetings were held in the city of Igdır with Governor Ercan Turan and Mufti Zahit Demirel.

In these discussions, it was emphasized that the relations of friendship and brotherhood between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, rooted in shared ethnic and cultural heritage, have been dynamically developing due to the far-sighted policies of both countries' leaders. This policy has significantly contributed to fostering a strong atmosphere of brotherhood and cooperation between the two nations.

It was also highlighted that Azerbaijan consistently places great importance on intercultural and interfaith dialogue and cooperation, asserting that safeguarding the principles of multiculturalism as a shared human heritage is of vital importance.

Additionally, the visit program includes several official meetings scheduled in the city of Kars. The delegation comprises Agil Shirinov, Rector of the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology, and Vusal Goyushov, Executive Director of the Moral Values Promotion Fund.
