Meeting held at the State Committee with a member of the Senate of Kazakhstan

On December 23, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations Ramin Mammadov met with Yernur Aitkenov, member of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, who was visiting Azerbaijan to participate in the Second Forum of Religious Figures of Azerbaijan.

The meeting emphasized that Azerbaijan–Kazakhstan relations are based on principles of friendship and brotherhood, with successful cooperation developing between the two countries in political, cultural, and humanitarian fields.

Chairman Mammadov spoke about the efforts undertaken in Azerbaijan to preserve national and moral values and promote multiculturalism. He informed the guest on the restoration and renovation of historical and architectural monuments, places of worship, and belief, as well as on financial assistance provided to religious institutions under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.

Expressing gratitude for the warm reception and sincere meeting, Yernur Aitkenov highly values the significance of the Second Forum of Religious Figures of Azerbaijan in promoting religious solidarity and dialogue. He also noted Kazakhstan’s interest in cooperation and experience-sharing in this field.

The meeting concluded with discussions on other issues of mutual interest.
