Committee Chairman Ramin Mammadov held a number of meetings within the framework of the Baku Global Summit of Religious Leaders

On November 6, within the framework of the Baku Global Summit of Religious Leaders, Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations met with Ali Erbash, Head of Religious Affairs of Turkey, Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of the Russian Federation, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, Salahaddin Ozgunduz, the leader of the Jafari community of Turkey, and Muzaffar Kamilov, State Adviser to the President of Uzbekistan, Jack Gerard, a member of the Mormon Church's "Quorum of the Seventy",  Miles Hansen, Stirling Foundation President, Egyptian Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments Osama Al-Azhari, Egyptian Mufti Minister Mohamed Ayad.
Mutual relations in the religious and spiritual sphere were discussed, the perspectives of development of cooperation, joint projects and programs to be implemented were exchanged in the meetings.
The Chairman of the State Committee informed about Azerbaijan's state-religion relations based on the promotion of multiculturalism and tolerance and its achievements in this field. He pointed out that as a result of the activities of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, a model of state-religion relations based on religious and ethnic tolerance was formed in our country. He noted that this policy is successfully continued by the President of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev. First Vice-President Mehriban stressed that a number of successful projects related to the restoration of religious monuments have been implemented in Azerbaijan and abroad by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation headed by Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva.
The participants of the meeting highly appreciated Azerbaijan's hosting of numerous high-level events, bringing together politicians, science and culture figures, and religious leaders in order to promote intercultural and interreligious dialogue. They emphasized that they believe that the decisions made within the framework of the Baku Global Summit of Religious Leaders will make important contributions to the fight against global climate change.
