A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT), operating under the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, and Igdır University of the Republic of Türkiye.
The Memorandum outlines initiatives for the exchange of curricula and scientific research for publication purposes, joint academic and scientific activities, and the organization of seminars for faculty members and students. Additionally, the document includes provisions for organizing specialized training courses for the academic staff of both institutions.
The Memorandum will create new opportunities for cooperation between the parties in academic accreditation, quality assurance, and experience-sharing, as well as facilitate the exchange of information, books, scientific documents, and student dissertations in the fields of education and research. These efforts will contribute to the inclusion of both institutions in international higher education rankings.
It should be noted that one of the goals of the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology is to achieve international recognition and to train highly qualified specialists by utilizing global experience. To this end, the Institute is establishing partnerships with leading international universities in theology and signing bilateral memoranda and agreements.
