An international conference “From Interfaith and Inter-civilizational Cooperation to Human Solidarity” has today kicked off in Vienna, Austria.
The event was jointly organized by Baku International Center of Interreligious and Inter-civilization Cooperation acting under the Caucasus Muslims Office, KAICIID International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue, Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue and Azerbaijani Embassy in Austria.
The conference aims to point out the universal importance of promoting Azerbaijan`s multiculturalism model and emphasize the exceptional importance of developing interfaith and inter-civilizational dialogue and cooperation in addressing the problems that are of concern to the modern world.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the conference, Azerbaijani President`s Assistant for Public and Political Affairs Ali Hasanov read out President Ilham Aliyev’s message to the event participants.
The event brings together about 300 people, including statesmen, scientists, public and religious figures, heads of 5 international and 16 non-governmental organizations, UN Assistants Secretary General, as well as embassies accredited in Vienna, and members of international organizations, and religious confessions.
