President Ilham Aliyev:  “The Iron Fist is not only about strength, it is about unity”

Azerbaijan has always been a multi-ethnic and multi-confessional country, and this is our tradition. For centuries, different peoples have lived, created and been brothers here, and this is still the case today. Although multiculturalism is a new term, it has always existed as a concept and it always will. My advice to you is that you should always protect this asset because our strength is in our unity and diversity. President Ilham Aliyev said while he was answering youths’ questions at the Youth Forum on February 2.

The head of the state emphasized:  Azerbaijan is a unique place of multi-religious and multi-ethnic coexistence. This is our great asset. Let me say this again, and I am not just saying nice words. I am 100 percent convinced that only the coexistence of all peoples will bring us success and victory. In the second Karabakh war, representatives of all nations fought like one, shed blood and became martyrs. They fought for the homeland, for Karabakh, for Azerbaijan. This Victory and this war have further united all the peoples living in Azerbaijan. The Iron Fist is not only about strength, it is about unity.
