The Chairman of the Committee got acquainted with the activities of the "Juma" mosque in Narimanov district 

On October 18, Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, visited the"Juma" mosque in Narimanov district and met with religious figures working there.
The Chairman of the State Committee emphasized that the current model of state-religion relations in our country is exemplary and said that a consistent policy is being implemented to protect national and moral values, including traditions of tolerance. He noted that on the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev, dozens of mosques and religious temples were built, restored or reconstructed in Azerbaijan. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation makes great contributions to the work done in this direction.
Ramin Mammadov noted that the major repair and reconstruction works carried out in this mosque are one of the examples of the respect and care shown to the Islamic religion and its values in Azerbaijan. The Chairman of the Committee drew attention to the current trends in the religious-ideological field and called on religious figures to show special activity in the development and protection of the principles of unity in our society.
Clergymen emphasized that the policy carried out in the direction of the formation of an environment promoting religious tolerance and coexistence serves the development of healthy relations between religion and the state in our society. They expressed their gratitude for the care of our state in the religious field.
