The delegation led by the Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, Ramin Mammadov met with the head of the State Agency for Religious Affairs, Zaza Vashakmadze on June 13 within the framework of a visit to Georgia. The Chairman of the State Committee emphasized the continuous development of strategic partnership relations between the two countries, and in this context, he touched on the prospects of deepening relations in the religious field as well. Ramin Mammadov pointed out that the discussions held within the framework of mutual visits played an important role in the expansion of cooperation between institutions.
Zaza Vashakmadze, Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Affairs of Georgia, noted that the development of relations between religious communities is important in modern times. Speaking about Georgia's achievements in the field of religion, Z. Vashakmadze emphasized the support given by the state to the independent activity and Muslim community advancement. He mentioned that legislative acts in the field of regulation of state-religion relations of Azerbaijan have been studied and the exchange of experience in this direction will be useful. The parties discussed the fostering existing relations and cooperation.
