On October 18, Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, visited the Ajdarbey mosque.
During the meeting with religious figures working in the mosque, Chairman of the Committee said that as a clear example of the state's care for the religious field, important measures are being taken in the direction of protecting the system of national and moral values of our people, developing and promoting the traditions of tolerance and multiculturalism. These steps play an important role in the strengthening of a healthy religious and spiritual environment, solidarity, and at the same time in the development of a multicultural society in Azerbaijan.
Ramin Mammadov also emphasized the importance of preventing the spread of radical religious movements that threaten the tradition of exemplary coexistence and unity in our country, and the importance of propagating Islam correctly. He noted that religious figures have important responsibilities in protecting young people from the influence of harmful foreign ideologies, in bringing up a generation with a modern outlook, connected to national and moral values.
Clergymen expressed their satisfaction with the special attention paid to the religious sphere by the state, and the importance of preserving the traditions of tolerance and multiculturalism in the country.
