The Chairman of the State Committee met with the Principal Representative of the International Baha'i Community at the United Nations

On June 10, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations Ramin Mammadov met with Bani Dugal, the Principal Representative of the Baha'i International Community to the UN.

At the meeting, the chairman of the State Committee informed about the state policy implemented in the field of protection and fostering of multicultural and religious-spiritual values ​​of our people. Ramin Mammadov noted that President Ilham Aliyev always pays special attention to the support of the activities of the religious denominations in the country. He said that Azerbaijan's rich experience in the field of development of intercultural dialogue, protection of religious and cultural diversity, as well as regulation of mutual relations between civilizations is accepted all over the world.

Bani Dugal, the Principal Representative of the International Bahá'í Community to the UN, expressed his gratitude for the continuous comprehensive attention and support provided to the activities of religious denominations, including members of Bahá'í communities in Azerbaijan. He also emphasized the importance of our country to the advancement and strengthening of inter-religious harmony.

Daniel Perell, the UN representative in charge of COP29 preparation processes, Shane Tejarati, an employee of the International Baha'i Community's UN representation, as well as Ramazan Asgarli and Azer Jafarov, representatives of the Baha'i Religious Center of Azerbaijan attented the meeting.
