On May 3, the Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations Ramin Mammadov met with the leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the United States of America - a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, David Bednar, a member of the Quorum of the Seventy Apostles of the Church, Jack Gerard, president of the Stirling Foundation, Miles Hansen, and CEO of said Foundation, Edward Rowe.

During the meeting, it was stressed that Azerbaijan's commitment to tolerance and coexistence is reinforced through its state-religion concept, making it a key focus of government policy. The delegation members observed the atmosphere of interreligious harmony in our country firsthand and emphasized the importance of promoting Azerbaijan’s exemplary role in fostering tolerance.
