On May 29, within the framework of a visit to the Republic of Türkiye, the delegation led by the Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations Ramin Mammadov visited the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye.
Stating the words of National Leader Heydar Aliyev "One nation, two states" and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's "Azerbaijan's sorrow is our sorrow, its joy is our joy" are the basic principles of relations between the two brotherly countries Ramin Mammadov noted that Türkiye-Azerbaijani relations are considered as an example of brotherhood, unity, and solidarity symbol all over the world. He emphasized that under the leadership of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Türkiye, strategic alliance relations have reached to a new level.
The chairman of the State Committee noted that the continuous development of intergovernmental relations in the religious realm, as in all areas, is beneficial for both countries. It was accentuated that the strengthening of Islamophobic tendencies in some geographies, emerging challenges in the field of religious issues regulation make it necessary to expand mutual consultations and exchange of experience.
Shamil Ayrim, head of the Türkiye-Azerbaijani inter-parliamentary friendship group, noted that the fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye are of great importance, mutual visits serve to further strengthen relations, and expressed his confident that such meetings will contribute to the emerging of more effective cooperation between our countries.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest.
