On October 15, Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations met with Irfan Gunduz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ibn Khaldun University of the Republic of Turkey.
During the meeting, Chairman of the State Committee spoke about the relations between the two countries based on mutual trust and noted that Azerbaijan and Turkey are united by the will and determination aimed at the development of fraternal relations.
The chairman of the committee spoke about the importance of the exemplary experience of Azerbaijan, which supports interreligious dialogue and Islamic solidarity and actively participates in this process as a result of the purposeful policy of President Ilham Aliyev. He said that successful work is being done in the direction of promoting our national and moral values in our country. In Azerbaijan, there is respect for the national-spiritual heritage, religious values, the development of dialogue between cultures, strengthening the traditions of tolerance are the priority directions of the state policy.
Irfan Gunduz, chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ibn Khaldun University, noted Azerbaijan's attention to the preservation of the environment of coexistence and its contributions to the deepening of the communication platform between religions. The guest also spoke about the importance of educating the young generation in the spirit of spiritual and moral values.
At the same time, the president of the Youth Aid Fund Ahmet Tecim, former member of the German national team of Turkish origin, world champion Mesud Ozil, director of Erkam Radio-TV broadcasting company Murat Karaman took part in the meeting.
