May 30-June 3, a delegation led by the Chairman of the State Committee on Religious Associations (SCRA) Mubariz Gurbanli has been on a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the invitation of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Mass media of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia such as “Saudi Press Agency”, “Shula News”, “Sabq.org”, “Arab news” covered official meetings held within the visit and interviews by the Chairman of the Committee during the visit to Medina city of Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, Chairman Mubariz Gurbanli has discussed the significance of Islamic solidarity, unity, and preserving true Islamic values, local media reports. The detailed information was given on the memorandum of understanding that signed between the State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The memorandum aims to expand cooperation between the two countries in combating extremist ideology, fighting against terrorism and extremism, as well as exchange experience, organization of conferences, seminars and meetings in both countries.
