Chairman of the State Committee on Religious Associations Mubariz Gurbanli received Deputy Director of the International Mission Department of the American Bible Society, Charles Lambert.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the State Committee informed the guest about the state-religion relations and multicultural environment in our country. He said that Azerbaijan is a democratic, secular and legal state and religion is separated from the state. However the state constantly attaches great importance and special care to this field.

The representative of the American Bible Society, Charles Lambert expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and said he was witnessing the further development of Baku. While speaking about inter-religious harmony and ethnic tolerance in our country, the guest expressed his pleasure with the high level of conditions created for the activities of the Azerbaijan Bible Society Christian religious community.
