A meeting was held with the co-founders of the "Interreligious Neighborhood Network" in the United States

Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, co-founder of the "Interreligious Neighborhood Network", president of the Institute of Global Affairs, senior pastor of the "Northwood" Church, Bob Roberts, and another co-founder of the "Interreligious Neighborhood Network", as well as "Dallas Muslim" during his visit to the USA. He met with the imam of the "Society Center" religious organization Muhammad Majid.
The Chairman of the State Committee said that the work done in the direction of the development of interreligious and intercultural dialogue and the provision of religious freedom in Azerbaijan, the conditions created for the free activity of communities, as well as the care shown to representatives of all religious confessions are indicators of the high religious and spiritual environment in our country. Touching on the importance of the state policy implemented in the direction of strengthening this environment, Ramin Mammadov emphasized that mutual understanding and trust between different religions proves the effectiveness of Azerbaijan's model of tolerance.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Committee also touched on the reports prepared by the United States International Commission on Religious Freedom and the Office of Religious Freedom of the State Department, which contain non-objective information about Azerbaijan. He emphasized that the strong legal framework in our country strengthens religious pluralism and allows a wide range of religious communities to register and operate freely. R. Mammadov invited the participants of the meeting to Azerbaijan to see the real situation regarding the provision of freedom of religion and to witness the environment of coexistence.
