Ali Haziyev, Head of SCRA participated in the Supplementary Human Dimension Meeting

Ali Haziyev, Head of the Foreign Relations Department of the State Committee on Religious Associations (SCRA), participated in the Supplementary Human Dimension Meeting (SHDM) III on “Freedom of Religion or Belief: The Role of Digital Technologies and Civil Society Actors in Advancing This Human Right  for All” which was held by video conference during the COVID 19 pandemic on November 9-10, 2020.

Ali Haziyev, Head of the Foreign Relations Department addressed at the first session of the video conference on " The State of Freedom of Religion or Belief in the OSCE Region: Challenges and Opportunities". In his speech, the head of the department of the SCRA spoke about the measures taken in Azerbaijan to prevent  intolerance and discrimination on religious grounds, as well as to strengthen the dialogue between various religious entities operating in Azerbaijan. He said that the state has always been committed to the policy of multiculturalism and tolerance.

The head of the department also told the participants of the video conference over the Armenia's policy of aggression, military attacks launched by Armenia on September 27, destruction of settlements that far from the battlefield, as well as the historical and religious monuments, their insult and civilian casualties.

There has been noted as well as the involving clergy to the conflict by Armenia and presenting it as a religious one in order to achive support of christian community.
