On September 2, Mubariz Gurbanli, Chairman of the State Committee on Religious Associations (SCRA), met online with the participants of the Committee's "Volunteer activity" project.
Mubariz Gurbanli said the State Committee based its activities on the participation of youth and volunteers in accordance with the state youth policy successfully implemented by President Ilham Aliyev. Giving information about the state youth policy, he noted that the SCRA and Moral Values Promotion Foundation, as well as the Theology Institute have taken the necessary measures to involve volunteers and youth in their activities. During the current pandemic, volunteers from both organizations were closely involved in both charity events and projects.
The chairman of the committee noted that young volunteers will continue to be involved in projects to be implemented by the State Committee, and during the current pandemic, regular meetings with the leadership and officials of the Committee will be held online. Emphasizing that the volunteer program is organized at a very high level in our country, the chairman spoke about the special attention paid by First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, the measures taken in this direction and how the program has expanded in recent years.
Expressing gratitude to the youth for joining the State Committee's "Volunteer Activity" project, Mubariz Gurbanli said he hoped that this important initiative, which provides them with extensive information about all activities and working environment of the SCRA, will have a positive impact on their future activities.
It should be noted that the State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan will issue special certificates to each young person who participated in this project as a volunteer and successfully fulfilled contract obligations, which will be an opportunity for a successful transition to their work.
