On March 12, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev have visited the city of Shusha.

The presidents then made a tour of the Saatli Mosque. The Saatli Mosque was built in 1883 based on the project by Karbalayi Safikhan Garabaghi. The Mosque was ruined by Armenians during the years of occupation. The Mosque, whose renovation work began in December 2021 with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s funding, was inaugurated last May.
