On December 17, the participants of the international conference organized under the theme "Interreligious Harmony: Promoting Peaceful Coexistence" visited the Museum of the Prophet and Islamic Civilization established at the headquarters of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) in Rabat, the capital of Morocco.
During the visit, the delegation was informed about the museum. It was noted that the Prophet and Islamic Civilization Museum is an important cultural object that provides deep information about the history, culture and philosophy of Islam. The museum exhibits art works, historical objects, books and other exhibits related to different periods and regions of the Islamic world.
As part of the visit, the participants visited various sections of the museum and got acquainted with the exhibits that demonstrate the deep heritage of Islamic culture and its place in world history.
It should be noted that the Museum of the Prophet and Islamic Civilization started operating in 2022. The exhibition and museum consist of three main components. The first component contains exhibits about the biography of the Prophet. The second component presents a description of the Prophet's room using 3D imaging and virtual reality for the first time in history. The third component, "The Exhibition of Devotion to the Holy Prophet, the Symbol of Love and Loyalty of Moroccans", presents treasures of historical manuscripts, rare paintings and coins, models of Moroccan architecture, ornaments and inscriptions, and traditional instruments.
