The Chairman of the State Committee visited the Tazapir mosque

On September 3, Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, visited the Tazapir Mosque and met with the religious figures working there.
In a meeting with religious figures, Chairman of the State Committee spoke about the resolute continuation of the policy established by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in the direction of protecting and promoting our national and moral values by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev. He noted that the state of Azerbaijan duly keeps alive our progressive traditions with a history spanning millennia, and pays special attention and care to the strengthening of religious and moral values in our society.
Paying attention to the highest level of freedom of religion, Ramin Mammadov said that Azerbaijan has become an important center for intercultural and interreligious dialogue. The initiatives of Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, First Vice-President, who made great contributions to the protection of the cultural heritage of humanity, the development of intercultural dialogue, and called people to compassion, mutual help, and peace, are highly appreciated in the world.
Stating that the work done in the direction of the development of state-religion relations in our country is of great importance, the religious figures said that they are ready to actively participate in the promotion of moral values specific to our people. They expressed their satisfaction with the high level of freedom of religion in the country and the protection of religious figures by the state.
At the meeting, the proposals of the clergy were listened to, and ideas were exchanged on the future work related to the religious field.
