Respected Mr. President!

We express our infinite gratitude to Your Excellency for the profound appeal you addressed to the participants of the Azerbaijan Religious Leaders Forum, and we wish you new success in the great work you are doing for the sake of the progress of Azerbaijan.

The model of progressive state-religion relations founded by national leader Heydar Aliyev has been further strengthened thanks to your decisive political will, and a multicultural and tolerant environment has been established in our country, which will be an example to the whole world. As a result of this, representatives of various religious denominations in Azerbaijan have the opportunity to freely use the right to freedom of religion established in the Constitution and laws, under the state care and protection.

At the same time, in the past period, a number of successful steps have been taken regarding the successful development of state-religion relations, the improvement of legal mechanisms that guarantee freedom of religion,  complex measures were implemented by the state to restore religious places of worship, improve the social condition of religious figures, strengthen the work of religious enlightment, develop religious education, train patriotic, highly intelligent religious figures and other directions.
We and Azerbaijan's clerics always highlight and appreciate these truths, and appreciation with special respect. Your Excellency, let convince you that in return for this care and respect by the state, clergymen and the most importantly loyal citizens of Azedrbaijan will be united around you, for progress of homeland.

Four years ago, the victory achieved thanks to your wise leadership as the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the unshakable unity of our people, and the heroism of our martyrs and veterans opened a new page not only in the history of Azerbaijan, but the entire region. The construction works carried out in our territories freed from occupation, the religious and cultural monuments restored with great mastership, the newly built places of worship are bright signs of how strongly our nation is connected to the national-spiritual values, historical roots, and traditions. The projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation on the initiative of the First Vice-President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva for the restoration of religious and historical monuments in Karabakh and East Zangezur, as well as outside the borders of the country, show that regardless of religious affiliation, our state treats all sacred places that are the common cultural heritage of mankind with the same care. 
In many countries of the world, including in our geography, when xenophobia, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, racial discrimination, religious and ethnic conflicts deepen, and conflicts and wars pose serious threats to global security, dialogue between cultures and religions is needed more than ever. We emphasize the difference between the Azerbaijani state, which represents various confessions, the Azerbaijani state is not a unique wealth that allows the difference in culture, but to create a harmony of relations between international relations and peoples. International measures traditionally held in Baku are accepted in the world as a unique platform that promotes mutual understanding and respect for cultures.

Taking this opportunity, we sincerely congratulate you on the occasion of your birthday, Solidarity Day and New Year, and we pray for realization of all our dreams of our native Azerbaijan.

Let the grace of Almighty on our country be permanent.
