The Chairman of the State Committee met with the Secretary General of Baha'i International Community

Mubariz Gurbanli, the Chairman of the State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with the Secretary General of Baha'i International Community, Joshua Lincoln and their chief representative in the United Nations who are on a visit to our country within the frame of the V World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue on May 1.

Welcoming the guests, Chairman of the State Committee Mubariz Gurbanli spoke about the religious communities in Azerbaijan including the Baha'i community, saying that all the opportunities were created for free confessions in our country. Religious representatives have been fully integrated into the country's social-political life.

Secretary General of the Baha'i International Community, Joshua Lincoln stressed that the exemplary model of coexistence in Azerbaijan has led to the interest of the state policy in the field of multiculturalism and tolerance in our country. He described the peaceful coexistence of different religious representatives in our country as a successful model of multiculturalism. He noted that the Baha'i community enjoys performing religious rituals here freely.

At the end of the meeting, where a number of issues of mutual interest were discussed, the guests expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome.
