Chairman of the State Committee met with Igdır mufti
On March 11, the delegation led by Ramin Mammadov met with Igdır Mufti Zahit Demirel. The Mufti highlighted that successful relations are rooted in centuries-old shared culture, language, traditions, and historically formed spiritual values, emphasizing that religious cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye is currently at a high level.
Ramin Mammadov provided detailed information on Azerbaijan’s multicultural environment and the measures taken to maintain unity and solidarity among the country’s peoples and religions. He stressed that ensuring freedom of religious belief, preserving national and spiritual values, and promoting the tradition of coexistence are priority areas of state religious policy. He also noted that Azerbaijan, taking a firm stance against Islamophobia, plays an important role in promoting Islamic solidarity.
The delegation was accompanied by Zamin Aliyev, Consul General of Azerbaijan in Kars, Türkiye.
