Delegation of the State Committee to visit Türkiye
A delegation led by Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, will visit the cities of Igdır and Kars in the Republic of Türkiye on March 11.
The purpose of the visit is to discuss prospects for cooperation with relevant state bodies and organizations of the brotherly country, and to participate in iftar ceremonies in Igdır and Kars. These events are organized as an expression of the deep-rooted historical brotherhood between the Azerbaijani and Turkish peoples and the solidarity among Muslims of both countries. The iftar in Igdır will take place on March 11 followed by the one in Kars on March 12, organized by the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, the Foundation for the Promotion of Spiritual Values, and the Igdır Governorship.
During the visit, which will continue until March 13, the Chairman of the Committee is scheduled to meet with Ali Erbash, President of the Turkish Directorate of Religious Affairs, Igdır Mufti Zahit Demirel, Kars Mufti Yavuz Yıldız, and other relevant officials and community leaders. The delegation will also visit several religious sites. Additionally, a document extending the cooperation memorandum between the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology and Kars Caucasus University for five years will be signed to implement joint projects and exchange programs for students and specialists.
