Azerbaijani Delegation held meetings in Kars
The official visit of the delegation led by Gunduz Ismayilov, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, to Türkiye continues.
On December 26, the delegation met with Hayrettin Bugra Guzel, Deputy Governor of Kars, Mayor Otuken Senger, and Mufti Yavuz Yıldız. The meetings addressed the brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, cooperation in state-religion relations, the preservation of religious and moral values, and the exchange of mutual experiences.
It was noted that the national and moral values of the Azerbaijani people are rooted in a rich historical, religious, and cultural heritage shaped over centuries. These values serve as the foundation for social solidarity, mutual respect, and moral integrity within society. While ensuring freedom of religion, the Azerbaijani state prioritizes the strengthening of these values, the promotion of healthy religious thinking, and the safeguarding of the moral security of society.
The meetings particularly emphasized that the shared national and moral roots, religious values, and historical memories uniting the two peoples form the basis of relations between the two brotherly countries. This common heritage creates a solid foundation for further deepening cooperation in the religious and moral sphere. The importance of transmitting national and moral values to future generations, as well as enhancing the roles of family, society, and religious institutions in this process, was highlighted. Cooperation in these areas contributes to strengthening social solidarity in the region.
