The Chairman of the State Committee met with the participants of the XV International School of Multiculturalism

On September 30, Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, met with the participants of the XV International School of Multiculturalism organized by the Baku International Center for Multiculturalism, entitled "The role of cultural heritage in the protection of peace, dialogue and tolerance".
At the meeting held at the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT), the chairman of the State Committee spoke about the interreligious dialogue and the unique environment of coexistence in our country. He said that representatives of other nations and religions have been treated with respect in Azerbaijan throughout history. This tradition has not only not changed over the years, on the contrary, it has become stronger in modern times.
The Chairman of the Committee emphasized that communities of various denominations, including Christians, Jews, Krishnas, Baha'is, Mormons, have been state-registered in our country. The location of mosques, churches and synagogues in the same place is a typical sight for Baku. At a time when disagreements on ethnic and religious grounds prevail in some regions of the world, it is of particular importance to promote the model of interreligious tolerance of Azerbaijan as an example.
At the end of the meeting, Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee and Agil Shirinov, the Rector of the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology, answered the questions of the participants.
It should be noted that about 30 students Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, China, Serbia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Romania, Moldova, Uzbekistan, India, Morocco, Bulgaria, Georgia, United States of America, Kyrgyzstan, Iraq, Pakistan, Algeria, Mozambique and Congo are participating from in the XV International School of Multiculturalism.
